Lori Keys Pender, MPH, BCOP, ELS is the owner and principal writer. Lori is a board-certified oncology pharmacist (BCOP) who began her career as a clinical pharmacist at The Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore. She received a Masters in Public Health (MPH) from Hopkins in 1995 and focused her elective coursework on biostatistics and clinical trial design and analysis.

Lori moved to Seattle in 1997 to work in Professional Services/Drug Information for a large biotechnology company that marketed several oncology products. Lori later worked as an oncology medical science liaison for a major pharmaceutical company before launching her freelance writing career. In 2004, she attained certification as an Editor in the Life Sciences (ELS).
